BLUES WIN BIG ON THE ROAD

Box Score Fifth-year forward Devin Johnson notched a team-high 22 points and seven rebounds as the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team defeated the Algoma Thunderbirds 83-70 on Saturday night (Nov. 26) in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
 
With the win, the Blues improve to 4-2 and move into a tie with the Queen's Gaels (4-1) for second place in the OUA East division.
 
As a team, the Blues shot 51.6% from the floor and out-rebounded the Thunderbirds 30-22.
 
Johnson went 9-for-16 from the floor, including 2-for-4 from beyond the arc, while adding three assists on the night.
 
Second-year forward Daniel Johansson notched 15 points, three rebounds and two assists, while sophomore guard Christopher Barrett had 12 points, three boards and two assists.
 
Reilly Reid, a fourth-year guard from Mississauga, Ont., added 10 points, while Sage Usher and Nikolas Paradina recorded eight and nine points, respectively, in the win.
 
Algoma's Adam Benrabah led all players with 24 points, going 6-for-11 from beyond the arc, in the loss.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action this Wednesday, November 30 as they host the Windsor Lancers at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. Tip off is set for 8 p.m.
