Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball defeated the Nipissing Lakers 3-0 (27-25, 25-22, 25-20) on Saturday, November 12 at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.
 
The teeter-totter game puts the Blues at 2-2 on the season and hands the Lakers (1-3) their first loss of the season.
 
Fourth-year right side hitter William Colucci led all players with 15.5 points from 12 kills, three aces, and an assisted block.
 
U of T rookie outside hitter Nicholas Trewern posted 11 points in the game, all from kills, while fellow first-year Jordan Figueira had a game-high 29 assists and 21 digs, earning player of the game honours, in the win.
 
Leading in points for the Lakers was Steven Wood with 12 points from 10 kills, one ace, and one block.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action tomorrow (Nov. 13) as they take on the York Lions at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. Game time is set for 4 p.m. and will be streamed live on OUA.tv.
