ODD SHINES IN BLUES SWEEP OF MARAUDERS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues baseball team defeated the McMaster Marauders 8-5 and 11-10 in their doubleheader on Wednesday, October 5 at Dan Lang Field.
 
In the first game of the day, Adam Odd led the Blues with three hits and one RBI, while Tanner Young-Schultz had two hits and two RBI and Andrew Mannone one hit and two RBI.
 
Odd earned the save on the mound, striking out one in one inning of work. Starting pitcher David Pham struck out four in six innings.
 
The Blues found themselves down 10-2 after the top of the third inning but rallied to even the score at 10-10 heading into the fifth.
 
Odd stepped up with a walk-off single in the ninth and also earned the win on the mound.
 
The Varsity Blues are back in action this Friday, October 7 when they host the Queen's Gaels at Dan Lang Field.
