Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team fell 3-0 (19-25, 22-25, 19-25) to the Ryerson Rams in their 2016-17 home opener on Friday night (Oct. 28) at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.
 
Fourth-year right side hitter Will Colucci led the Blues with 17 points on 13 kills, two aces and two blocks and had six digs on the night.
 
Veteran middle Zia Karim notched 11 points on seven kills and four blocks, adding four digs.
 
Wells Hick and rookie Jordan Figueira split setting duties, notching 10 and 20 assists, respectively, while both adding five kills. Alex Ferris recorded a team-high nine digs in the loss.
 
Lucas Coleman led Ryerson with 17 points on 14 kills, two aces and one block in the victory.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action next Friday, November 4 as they travel to Kingston, Ont., to take on the RMC Paladins. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
