BLUES EXACT REVENGE OVER NO. 10 RAMS

Box Score For the second time this season the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team and the No. 10 Ryerson Rams produced a five-set thriller with the Blues exacting revenge from the early season loss Sunday afternoon (Jan. 24). Set scores in the U of T victory were 13-25, 12-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-13.

After the Rams jumped out to a quick two set lead the Varsity Blues found themselves in a corner, but setter Aleksa Miladinovic would rally the troops with a series of strong plays at the net in the third set and from their would utilize every player around him to complete the comeback. Miladinovic's 38 assists would see four separate Blues register seven or more kills including a team-high 16 for veteran right-side Will Colucci.

Joining Colucci in the exciting final set push would be middle Nathaniel Virgo who maintained a stoic demeanor after every one of his 12.5 points which would come off nine kills and three block assists.

As the match continued to see momentum shift the way of Toronto, Ryerson would continue to slip up finishing the game with 17 service errors to only five for U of T. Despite matching his season-high in kills with 23, Rams difference maker Lucas Coleman was unable to reign in the growing confidence of the Blues and end the spectacular comeback.
