The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team heads to Windsor, Ont., for a first-round playoff game versus the No. 5 Lancers this Wednesday, February 25.
The game will be streamed live on OUA.tv, starting with tip off at 7 p.m.
A Head-To-Head Look:The Blues finished the season in third place in the OUA East division with a 6-13 record. In only his second season at the helm, head coach John Campbell and the Blues defeated the Queen's Gaels 87-79 this past Saturday night to earn their first post season berth since 2012.
"Windsor is a very athletic team that creates a lot of transition offence through intense ball pressure," said Campbell. "We need to minimize turnovers and generate good offensive opportunities. Defensively, we need to limit penetration and rebound well."The Windsor Lancers finished the season with a 15-5 record, atop the OUA West division. Based on the new OUA playoff structure, Windsor placed fifth overall on the RPI scale, thereby hosting the 12th seeded Blues.
