WOMEN’S CURLING 4-0 AFTER DAY 2 OF OUA CHAMPIONSHIPS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's curling team is off to a great start at the 2015 OUA championships, February 19-22, at Guelph Curling Club.

"It was another great day for the women," said Varsity Blues head coach John Rudd. "Strong team dynamics are proving to be the catalyst for some excellent results."

The Blues opened the bonspiel with a 5-2 win over the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Thursday morning. Toronto followed that up by edging the UOIT Ridgebacks, 8-7, on Thursday night.

U of T pulled out two dominant wins on Day 2, defeating the Queen's Gaels 8-1 and Trent Excalibur 9-0.

Round robin play continues tomorrow as Toronto takes on Carleton and Algoma, and wraps up Sunday morning versus Brock.
