BLUES SOLID AT JESTER'S CROSSOVER

The Varsity Blues men's squash team visited Montreal on October 31 to play the first leg of their East Sectional Jester's crossover. In spite of missing their No. 2 seed in Mihir Badhan, the Blues finished the event with a comfortable four-point lead over the next team, Brock University.

In overcoming Concordia 7-0, Jack Turney at No. 1 dropped a game to George Ryan. The thriller, however, was star rookie player Ambrose Chu, winning his match 3-2. The closest event for the Blues was against Brock, overcoming them 4-3. Jack Turney, Riyan Bhatia, Harris Lechtzier and David Roper came away with victories with veterans Alex Garceau, Yusuf Shalaby and Hamza Vora dropping their respective matches.

The following day, the Blues defeated the Queen's Gaels 7-0 with Riyan Bhatia dropping the only game of the match. The Blues continued their momentum against McGill, winning 5-2 with Yusuf Shalaby and Julian Snider losing close encounters. Assistant captain Alex Garceau and Harris Lechtzier were ruthless in dispatching their opponents.
