BLUES DROP ROAD MATCH AT YORK

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men`s volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (25-15, 18-25, 21-25, 23-25) decision to the York Lions on Sunday night (Nov. 22) at York University.

With the loss, the Blues drop to 3-5 and sit in eighth place, while the Lions improve to 5-5 and jump into fifth in the OUA standings.

Fifth-year left side hitter Stefan Ristic led the Blues with 19 kills, six digs, one ace and one block, while third-year right side hitter Will Colucci notched 11 kills, five digs, one ace and one block.

Middle Zia Karim recorded six kills, two aces and two blocks, while second-year standout Alex Ferris had eight kills and a game-high 10 digs. Fifth-year setter Aleksa Miladinovic tallied 42 assists and eight digs in the loss.

York was led by Arthur Szwarc`s 17 kills, with Alexander Duncan-Thibault notching nine kills and nine digs in the win.  

The Varsity Blues return to action next Friday, November 27 as they travel to Windsor to take on the Lancers. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
