With the win, the No. 4 nationally ranked Blues improve to 7-0 and remain atop the OUA East division, while the Lakers (0-6) sit in seventh.
First-year right side hitter Alina Dormann led the Blues with nine kills, two aces, one block and a game-high 10 digs on the night. Third-year middle Tessa Davis added eight kills, two aces and one block, while Anna Feore had seven kills, one ace and one block.
Team co-captain Bojana Radan earned player of the game honours after five kills, five digs and three aces, while third-year setter Erin Jacobs tallied 26 assists in the victory.
The Lakers were led by Erika Lapierre, who notched a game-high 10 kills in the loss.
The Varsity Blues return to action Sunday night as they wrap up the first half of the season at York. Game time is set for 6 p.m. The match will be streamed live on OUA.tv.Â
