BLUES GO 2-0 IN KINGSTON

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team defeated the RMC Paladins and Queen's Gaels, October 30-31, in Kingston, Ont.

With the wins, the Blues improve to 3-0 in the early goings of the OUA season.

Toronto 3, RMC 1 (25-17, 25-18, 21-25, 25-15)

First-year right side hitter Alina Dormann led all players with 17 kills, 12 digs and three aces. Veteran left side Caleigh Cruickshank had 14 kills and seven digs, while Tessa Davis recorded 13 kills and three aces.

Veteran middle Bojana Radan notched 10 kills and six digs, with sophomore Anna Feore adding nine kills and 15 digs.

Madelyn Mandryk tallied 35 assists, with Denise Wooding adding 14 digs in the victory.

Toronto 3, Queen's 1 (21-25, 25-17, 25-13, 25-19)

Radan led the Blues with 15 points, notching six kills, seven blocks and two aces, while Dormann had nine kills, four aces and two blocks. Cruickshank led all players with 11 kills, with Denise Wooding adding a game-high 20 digs in the win.

Mandryk notched 27 assists and 11 digs in Toronto's third straight victory.

The Varsity Blues return to action next Sunday, November 8 as they host the Ryerson Rams in their 2015-16 home opener at Goldring Centre. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
