Box Score University of Toronto women's volleyball head coach Kristine Drakich recorded her 300th career regular season victory as the No. 4 nationally ranked Varsity Blues defeated the Windsor Lancers 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-6) on Saturday night (Jan. 17) in Windsor, Ont.
With the win, the Blues improve to 13-0 and remain atop the OUA East division. Drakich, now in her 26th season as Blues bench boss, holds a .775 win percentage, having won 300-of-387 regular season contests since 1989.
Fifth-year veterans Jennifer Neilson and Charlotte Sider led the Blues offensively. Sider notched a game-high 12 kills, while adding three digs, two blocks and one ace. Neilson recorded 11 kills, five digs and two blocks on the night.
Bojana Radan added four kills, four blocks and two aces, with CIS top-ranked setter Madelyn Mandryk tallying 31 assists. Asli Ersozoglu led all players with 12 digs in the victory.
The Varsity Blues are back in action next Saturday, January 24 as they travel to Kingston, Ont., to take on the Queen's Gaels. The game will be streamed live on OUA.tv, starting at 1 p.m.
