BLUES DROP FIVE SETTER IN KINGSTON

Box Score The No. 8 University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team fell 3-2 (29-27, 21-25, 22-25, 25-22, 12-15) to the Queen's Gaels in their final regular season contest on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 9) in Kingston, Ont.
 
Despite the loss, the Blues finish in first place in the OUA East division with a 15-4 record and will host the fourth seeded Ryerson Rams in an OUA quarter-final on Saturday, February 15 at 1 p.m.
 
Left-side hitter Charlotte Sider (Ottawa) led Toronto with 18 kills, 14 digs and one serving ace, while rookie Tessa Davis notched 14 kills and three serving aces.
 
Julia Bellehumeur recorded 28 assists splitting time in the setter position with Malena Rapaport who added 24 assists and 10 digs in the loss.
 
Fourth-year veteran Jennifer Neilson tallied a team-high 20 digs in the game.
 
The Gaels were led by Kelsey Bishop and Brett Hagerty who notched 22 kills each while setter Ali Shamie recorded 48 assists.
