The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's and women's basketball teams play host to the Queen's Gaels and York Lions this weekend (Feb. 14-15) at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.
The women start the action at 6 p.m., with the men to follow at 8 p.m., on both days. Advanced tickets are on sale here. All four games will also be streamed live on GoBlues.tv.
The Blues will also honour graduating players in a special ceremony between the women's and men's games on Saturday night.
U of T's women are 11-9 and sit in fourth place in the East, two points back of the Ottawa Gee-Gees (12-8). The Blues have already secured home court advantage for the OUA East quarter-final round, set for next Wednesday, February 19 at 7 p.m.
Fourth-year guard Jill Stratton of Etobicoke, Ont., leads the Blues, averaging 14.4 points per game. Fellow veteran Rachael Sider (New Westminster, B.C.) ranks second with 9.4 points and leads the team with 5.4 boards per game, while Liane Bailey (Montreal) averages 8.4 points per contest.
Toronto's men are 4-16, in eighth place in the OUA East division, and out of playoff contention.
Fifth-year guard Alex Hill has two games left to add to his U of T record career point total. The Toronto native currently leads the OUA and ranks second in the OUA with 25.8 points per game.
