The University of Toronto men's and women's track and field teams hosted the Fred Foot Classic over the weekend (Jan. 17-18) at the Athletic Centre Field House.
Leading the way for the men's team was third-year standout James Turner, who placed first in the men's pentathlon, garnering 3768 points, 252 points ahead of the second place winner. Teammate Rostam Turner placed third with 3405 points. James Turner also took out second place in the men's 300m with a time of 37.09, with Rostam Turner following again to take third place (37.37).
Ethan Davenport came first in the men's 1000m in a time of 2:31:99, while Devante Cummings finished in third place (2:38:28).
In the men's 60m hurdles, Toronto's Bryan Li come in second place (8.75), while Anthony Kwan placed third (8.90). Tim Arbido finished third in the 60m dash in a time of 7.09.
Joey Zhou and Nathan Tesfu rounded out the Blues men's results both taking third place in the men's long jump (5.99m) and men's high jump (2.00m), respectively.
Danielle Delage led Toronto's women taking first place in the pentathlon with 3496 points. Teammate Carolyn Adams followed taking third place with 3352 points. Delage finished third in both the long jump (4.92m) and the 300m (41.72).
Second-year Katie Vasilyeva tied for first place in the high jump clearing 1.68m, while Julia Stille took first place in the triple jump with a 11.58m jump.
In the 3000m, fourth-year Erin Ready finished second with a time of 10:23:32.
