BLUES FALL PREY TO NO. 1 RAVENS

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team dropped a 100-60 decision to the No. 1 Carleton Ravens on Saturday night (Jan. 18) in Ottawa.

With the loss, the Blues drop to 2-12 and sit in eighth, while the Ravens remain undefeated at 13-0 and sit atop the OUA East standings.

Fifth-year guard Alex Hill (Toronto) notched a team-high 20 points, with Matt Savel adding eight points and four assists. Laszlo Schuetz notched eight points, with Dylan Churchill recording seven in the loss.

The Ravens were led by Phillip Scrubb's game-high 25 points. Kevin Churchill knocked down 18 points and six boards, while Springer-Williams had 11 in the win.

The Varsity Blues return to action next Friday, January 24 as they host the Algoma Thunderbirds at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
