BLUES BLANK LAKERS ON THE ROAD

Box Score Charlotte Sider led all players with 11 kills as the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team defeated the Nipissing Lakers 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-17) on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 11) in North Bay, Ont.

With the win, the Blues improve to 9-2 and sit tied with the York Lions (9-2) for second place in the OUA East division.

A native of Ottawa, Sider added a game-high 11 digs, one ace and one block on the day.

Fellow veteran Sarah Chapin notched nine kills, while Bojana Radan had six kills. Denise Wooding added five kills and nine digs, while Tessa Davis recorded five kills, three digs, three blocks and an ace in the win.

The Lakers were led by Brittany Ardron's six kills.

The Varsity Blues return to action tomorrow afternoon as they head north of the city to take on the York Lions for sole possession of second place. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
