MEN’S BASKETBALL COMES UP SHORT AT YORK

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team dropped an 85-70 decision to the York Lions on Friday, January 10 at Tait McKenzie Centre.

With the loss, the Blues drop to 2-9 and remain in eighth place, while the Lions improve to 7-4 in the OUA East division.

Fifth-year guard Alex Hill (Toronto) led all players with 27 points and six boards, while Dylan Churchill had 12 points and Dennis Ankrah added 10 points and a team-high eight boards in the loss.

York was led by Nick Tufegdzich's 18 points, with Daniel Tulloch adding 15 points in the win.

The Varsity Blues return to action tomorrow night as they head to Kingston, Ont., to take on the Queen's Gaels. Tip off is set for 8 p.m.
