NO. 8 GEE-GEES TOPPLE BLUES

Box Score The Varsity Blues men’s basketball team fell 94-51 to the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Friday, February 8 at Montpetit Hall.
 
The loss drops Toronto to 2-15, while Ottawa improves to 14-4 and remain tied with the Ryerson Rams for second place in the East.
 
Fourth-year guard Alex Hill (Toronto) led the Blues with 12 points, while both Arun Kumar (Hamilton, Ont.) and Dakota Laurin (Calgary) had nine points on the night. Ben Garvin added eight points and Adam Plummer tallied a team-high nine boards in the loss.
 
Moe Ismail led Ottawa with a game-high 16 points. Gab Gonthier-Dubue had 14 points and nine rebounds, while Johnny Berhanemeskel also had 14 points in the win.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action tomorrow night as they take on the No. 1 Carleton Ravens in Ottawa. Tip off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
