Box Score The Varsity Blues women’s volleyball team notched their fourth straight win in a 3-1 (25-16, 22-25, 25-16, 25-21) victory over the Windsor Lancers on Friday night (Feb. 1) in Windsor, Ont.
With the win, the Blues move into sole possession of fifth place in the OUA with a 9-7 record. Windsor drops to 3-12 on the season.
Sophomore standout Denise Wooding (North Vancouver, B.C.) tallied a team-high 10 kills and 18 digs, with Jennifer Neilson (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) adding eight kills, 19 digs and five serving aces in the win.
Rebecca Crosier and Sarah Chapin each notched eight kills, while Katrina Rossall led all players with 29 digs on the night.
Windsor was led by Kaila Seguin, who recorded a game-high 16 kills in the loss.
The Varsity Blues return to the court next Saturday, February 9 as they host the Queen’s Gaels at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
