WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL NOTCHES FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team topped the Guelph Gryphons 3-1 (25-16, 25-17, 22-25, 25-19) on Saturday, November 9 at W.F. Mitchell Athletic Centre in Guelph, Ont.

With the win, the Blues improve to 5-2, while the Gryphons drop to 3-3 in the early goings of the season.

Fourth-year left side hitter Charlotte Sider of Ottawa had another big game, recording a game-high 15 kills, while adding 11 digs on the night. Caleigh Cruickshank (Etobicoke, Ont.) also continues to impress, picking up 13 kills, three blocks and one ace.

Rookie Tessa Davis of South Surrey, B.C., notched eight kills, two aces and was a huge presence at the net with one solo and six assisted blocks. Veteran setter Malena Rapaport (Vancouver) had 40 assists and 13 digs in the win.

The Gryphons were led by Madison DeDecker's nine kills and eight digs.

The Varsity Blues return to action next Sunday, November 17 as they host the Ryerson Rams at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
