Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team defeated the Waterloo Warriors 3-1 (25-27, 25-22, 26-24, 25-15) on Friday, November 8 in Waterloo, Ont.
With the win, the Blues improve to 4-2 and are tied with Ryerson for second place in the OUA East division, while the Warriors drop to 3-3 and are even with Guelph in second place in the West.
Fourth-year left side hitter Charlotte Sider of Ottawa notched a game-high 14 kills, while adding 15 digs and two aces on the night. Rookie Tessa Davis continues to impress with a 13-kill performance, while veteran Jennifer Neilson added 10 kills and 10 digs.
Libero Kate Lonergan had 27 digs and Caleigh Cruickshank notched eight kills and 19 digs in the win.
Waterloo was led by Gillian Henderson and Clara Tse's 10-kills performances.
The Varsity Blues return to the court tomorrow night as they head to Guelph to take on the Gryphons. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
