BLUES DROP FIVE SET THRILLER IN WATERLOO

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team went down in a five set thriller against the Waterloo Warriors on Friday, November 8 in Waterloo, Ont.

The Blues (1-4) gave the Warriors (5-1), who sit at the top of the OUA, a close run, falling short 3-2 (11-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-21, 6-15).

Veteran Jake Dysselhof(Mississauga, Ont.) led the Blues offence with 15 kills and eight digs, while teammate Kyle Fick (Scarborough, Ont.) made an impact with 13 kills and 15 digs.

Team captain Michael Denton (Scarborough, Ont.) contributed 36 assists in game.

The Warriors attacking play was spread across their team with Zachary Doherty, James Evans and Tyler Motherwell, all tallying nine kills in the game.

The Varsity Blues return to action Saturday, November 9 as they head to Guelph to take on the Gryphons. Game is set for 8 p.m.
