Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team fell to the Windsor Lancers 3-1 (22-25, 22-25, 25-20, 21-25) in four close sets on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 16) at St. Denis Centre.
With the loss, the Blues drop to 2-6, while the Lancers improve to 3-4 and sit two points ahead of the Blues in sixth place in the OUA standings.
Fourth-year veteran left side hitter Jake Dysselhof led all players with 17 kills, while adding five digs on the day. Rookie Will Colucci had another solid performance with 16 kills and eight digs, while Matthew Vares added 11 kills and 11 digs.
Fifth-year middle Jay Tremonti added 11 kills and five blocks, while Aleksa Miladinovic had 53 assists in the loss. Â
Chad Hinchey led the Lancers with 10 kills, while Gabriel Burlacu added nine in the victory.
The Varsity Blues return to action this Friday, November 22 as they host the RMC Paladins at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
