WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS PREY TO NO. 5 LIONS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-18, 29-27, 25-20) to the No. 5 York Lions on Sunday, October 27 at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.
 
With the loss, the Blues drop to 1-2 on the season, while York improves to 4-0 to start the 2013-14 OUA season.
 
Fourth-year veteran Jennifer Neilson once again led the Blues, recording eight kills, six digs and two blocks in the loss.  Charlotte Sider added seven kills and 12 digs, whle Tessa Davis had seven kills and four blocks.
 
York was led by Brandie Wilkerson's 13 kills and 17 digs, with Michelle Pierce adding 10 kills in the win.
 
The Varsity Blues return to the court next Saturday, November 2 as they head to Hamilton, Ont., to take on the McMaster Marauders at 12 p.m.
