MARAUDERS BLANK BLUES

Box Score The Varsity Blues women’s volleyball team fell 3-0 (22-25, 15-25, 19-25) to the McMaster Marauders on Friday night (Jan. 11) in Hamilton, Ont.
 
With the loss, the Blues (5-6) drop into a tie for seventh place with the Lakehead Thunderwolves, while the Marauders improve to 6-5 and are tied for fifth place in the OUA standings.
 
Third-year standout and Ottawa native Charlotte Sider led the Blues with eight kills, while Alexandra Hudson (Mississauga, Ont.) added six in the loss.
 
The Marauders were led by Kierstyn Bakker and Shannon McRobert’s nine-kill performances. Meagan Nederveen led all players with 17 digs in the win.
 
The Blues will look to bounce back tomorrow night as they travel to take on the undefeated York Lions (9-0). Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
