Both the men and women are coming off 0-2 weekends at Western and Windsor last weekend.

Toronto’s women are 4-2 and tied with the Carleton Ravens for first place in the OUA East. The Marauders (1-4) are off to a tough start and sit in sixth, while the Badgers are a perfect 5-0 and in second place in the West division.

The Blues are led by fourth-year guard Jasmine Lewin (Brampton, Ont.). The Eastern Kentucky transfer is off to a great start in her first season with the Blues, averaging 10.7 points per game and leading the team with 13 assists.

Veteran forwards Alicia Van Kampen (Orangeville, Ont.) and Amanda Lauzon (Niagara Falls, Ont.) sit among the top 10 players in the OUA with 7.5 and 9.7 boards per game, respectively.

The Blues men (2-4) will need four points this weekend to climb out of seventh place in the East.  Both McMaster and Brock are 1-4 to start the season and are in a five-way tie for third in the West division.

Fourth-year guard and Toronto native Alex Hill leads the team with 18.3 points per game. Fifth-year veteran Arun Kumar of Hamilton, Ont., has hit double digits in every game so far this season and averages 15.3 points per contest. He also leads the team from beyond the arc with 17 three’s to date.

Forwards Ben Garvin (Holland Landing, Ont.) and Adam Plummer (Ajax, Ont.) are also off to solid starts. Garvin averages 11.8 points, while Plummer has put up 9.2 points and a team-high 6.5 boards per game so far this season.
