SIDER LEADS BLUES IN BIG WIN OVER MAC

Box Score Third-year right side hitter Charlotte Sider notched a career-high 20 kills in leading the Varsity Blues women’s volleyball team to a 3-1 (25-20, 18-25, 27-25, 25-23) victory over the McMaster Marauders on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 11) at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.
 
The Ottawa native added a season-best 24 digs and four serving aces as U of T improves to 3-3 on the year. Fellow right side Jennifer Neilson (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) also set a new career mark with 12 kills on the day.
 
Julia Bellehumeur had 36 assists, while Katrina Rossall notched 11 digs. Shannon Rossall also added seven kills, six digs and two aces in the win.
 
Kailee Stock led the Marauders with 13 kills and nine digs. M. Nederveen led all players with 30 digs in the loss.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action next Saturday, November 17 as they head to Thunder Bay, Ont., to take on the Lakehead Thunderwolves. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
