Box Score The Varsity Blues women’s volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-15) to the No. 9 York Lions on Saturday, November 10 at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.
With the loss, the Blues move to 2-3 on the season and sit in a four-way tie for sixth place in the OUA standings.
Third-year right side hitter Charlotte Sider (Ottawa) led the Blues with 13 kills and nine digs. Veteran libero Katrina Rossall of Calgary notched a game-high 16 digs and now ranks first in the province with 4.26 digs per set. Julia Bellehumeur (London, Ont.) added 28 assists and six digs in the loss.
York was led by Brandie Wilkerson’s 15-kill performance. Melissa Humana-Paredes added 12 kills and 14 digs in the win.
