Box Score The Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision (25-23, 25-23, 25-15) to the York Lions on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 10) at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.
With the loss, the Blues drop to 2-3, while the Lions improve to 2-2. Both teams sit tied for fifth place in the OUA standings.
Third-year left side hitter Jake Dysselhof of Mississauga, Ont., led the Blues with a season-high nine kills and added two aces on the day. Fifth-year right side hitter Mitchell Woodside (Clyde River, P.E.I.) also had nine kills, while team captain Michael Denton tallied 26 assists and five digs in the loss.
Felipe Humana-Paredes led the Lions with 10 kills, while Ray Szeto had nine kills and five digs in the win.
