BLUES BLANK BADGERS

Box Score The No. 8 Varsity Blues women’s volleyball team defeated the Brock Badgers 3-0 (25-20, 25-9, 25-18) on Saturday night (Oct. 27) at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.
 
The win, their second in as many days, improves the No. 8 Blues to 2-1 to start the season, while the Badgers fall to 1-2.
 
Third-year right side hitter Charlotte Sider (Ottawa) led U of T with a game-high 11 kills and added two blocks on the night. Sophomore Denise Wooding of North Vancouver tallied eight kills and six digs, while Shannon Rossall (Calgary) also had eight kills.
 
Fifth-year libero Katrina Rossall led all players with 13 digs, while Malena Rapaport added 28 assists in the win.
 
The Badgers were led by both Lucy McLay and Nicole Arthurs, who each tallied four kills in the loss.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action next Sunday, November 4 as they head to Kingston, Ont., to take on the OUA defending Queen’s Gaels. Game time is set for 12 p.m.
