The defending champion Varsity Blues overcame a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Brock Badgers, 6-5, on Day 1 of the 2012 OUA baseball championship at George Taylor Field.
 
With the win, the Blues will face the winner of Western/Guelph tomorrow at 1 p.m.
 
Down 3-0 after the first inning, the Blues rallied to even the score in the top of the fourth and again in the fifth. U of T secured the win with a single run in the top of the eighth.
 
Sophomore third baseman Harrison Carmichael led the Blues with three hits, three runs and one RBI. Marek Deska pitched the complete game, striking out nine and allowing only seven hits in the victory.
