BLUES TOP 100 IN SOLID TEAM EFFORT

Box Score The Varsity Blues men’s basketball team notched their second win in as many days with a dominant 110-43 win over the RMC Paladins on Saturday, January 28 at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.

12 different Varsity Blues got on the score sheet as the Blues improve to 7-10 and remain in fifth place in the OUA standings.

Veteran guards Justin Holmes (Toronto) and Arun Kumar (Hamilton, Ont.) tallied a team-high 16 points, each knocking down four three’s on the night.  Dylan Churchill recorded a season-high 14 points, with Adam Plummer, Alex Hill and Denis Ankrah adding 10, 11, and 12 points in the win.

The Blues dominated the entire game and exploded for 31 and 30 points in the third and fourth quarters to top 100 points for the first time since Jan. 21, 2011.

RMC’s Connor Duke recorded a game-high 19 points, while Alexandre Lavictoire added 12 points in the loss.

The Varsity Blues return to the court next Friday, February 3 as they head across town to take on the Ryerson Rams. Tip off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
