BLUES FALL TO MARAUDERS

The Varsity Blues baseball team dropped an 8-3 decision to the McMaster Marauders on Wednesday, September 28 at Nelson Park in Burlington, Ont.

With the loss, the Blues are now 9-4 and tied with the Western Mustangs for first place.

Tied 0-0 heading into the bottom of the third, the Marauders took control and scored six unanswered runs over the next two innings.

Despite their best efforts, the Blues could not mount a come back and dropped their fourth game of the season.

Drew Taylor struck out three over six innings of work in the loss.  Brent Page, Yusuke Oshima and Jonathan Sator each had one RBI on the night.

The Varsity Blues return to action this Saturday, October 1 as they host the Queen’s Gaels at Dan Lang Field.  Game 1 of the double header is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
