WARRIORS COME BACK TO EDGE BLUES

The Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team fell 3-1 (17-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-17) to the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday, November 5 at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.

With the loss, the Blues drop to 1-3 on the season and sit in eighth place in the OUA standings.

Second-year leftside hitter Jake Dysselhof of Mississauga, Ont., led the Blues with 15 kills, while fourth-year veteran Mitchell Woodside (Clyde River, P.E.I.) had 11 kills, seven digs and two blocks on the night.

Third-year middle and Dryden, Ont., native Jay Tremonti posted 10 kills, while first-year setter Steven Khuu had 44 assists and was named the Varsity Blues player of the game.

Cameron Wheelan (Barrie, Ont.) recorded 16 kills and 12 digs in the win.

The Varsity Blues return to the court next Saturday, November 12 as they host the Windsor Lancers at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.  Game time is set for 1 p.m.
