ADOMAIT LEADS BLUES TO WIN OVER RAMS

Sophomore leftside hitter Jonathan Adomait led all players with 17 kills in leading the Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team to a 3-1 (25-27, 25-21, 25-19, 25-14) victory over the Ryerson Rams on Sunday, November 27.

A native of Dundas, Ont., Adomait added seven digs, two blocks and two serving aces on the day.  Fellow second-year player Jake Dysselhof added 10 kills, while rookie setter Steven Khuu amassed 40 assists in the win.

The first set went back-and-forth with the Rams edging out the victory in the end. It was all Blues from there as Toronto took the next three sets to earn their second win of the season.

Ryerson was led by George Sakvarelidze, who tallied 13 kills, while Alex Dawson added 11 kills and six digs in the loss.
The Varsity Blues return to their regular season schedule in the new year as they travel to Windsor, Ont., on Friday, January 6 to take on the Lancers.  Game time is set for 8 p.m.
