BLUES BLANKED BY MUSTANGS

Second-year rightside hitter Jonathan Adomait had a team-high 14 points for the Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team in a 3-0 (20-25, 19-25, 19-25) losing effort against the Western Mustangs on Sunday afternoon (Nov. 13) at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.

With the loss, the Blues remain in ninth place with a 1-5 record, while the Mustangs remain at the top of the OUA standings with a 6-0 undefeated record.

A native of Dundas, Ont., Adomait had almost half of the Blues kills with 13 and recorded 23 total attacks.

One more Varsity Blues player hit double digits in the loss. Second-year left side hitter and Mississauga native Jake Dysselhof recorded 14 points with 11 kills and four digs.

Western was lead by Phil James (Ottawa) who scored 17 points with 13 kills, four digs and 21 total attacks. Teammate Garrett May added 10 kills and five digs in the win.  

The Varsity Blues return to action next Friday, November 18 when they travel to take on the Queen’s Gaels in Kingston, Ont. The game begins at 8 p.m.
