Box Score Five players hit double digits as the No. 9 Varsity Blues men’s basketball team came away with a 77-73 road victory over the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Friday, January 7 at Montpetit Hall.
With the win, the Blues are 7-2 and remain in second place in the OUA East, four points behind the No. 1 Carleton Ravens.
Veteran forward Andrew Wasik of Burnaby, B.C., led the Blues with 18 points and 13 boards, while fellow forward and Sarajevo, BIH native Drazen Glisic recorded a double-double of his own with 16 points and 10 rebounds on the night. Toronto natives Anthony DeGiorgio and Justin Holmes each had 10 points in the win.

Toronto held off a late Gee-Gees surge that brought the game back within one to record their seventh win of the season.
Ottawa was led by a game-high 27-point performance from third-year forward Warren Ward. The London, Ont., native was 6-for-8 from beyond the arc and added 14 rebounds in a losing cause. Christopher Anderson had 12 points, while Jacob Gibson-Bascombe and Louis Gauthier chipped in with 11 each.
