The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-23) to the Waterloo Warriors on Friday, January 21.
The top scorers for the Blues were veteran Adam Palmer of Ottawa with seven kills, while commerce student Matthew Vares of Scarborough, Ont. came up next with six kills and 13 digs. Mitchell Woodside (Clyde River, P.E.I.) and Jake Dysselhof of Mississauga, Ont. followed closely behind with five kills each.
Fiodar Kazhamiaka (Waterloo, Ont.) and Matt Snyder (Kitchener Ont.) notched seven kills each for the Warriors, keeping the Blues on their toes.
The Varsity Blues return to action on Sunday, January 23 to take on the Laurier Golden Hawks. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.
