The Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team fell 3-1 (22-25, 31-29, 18-25, 17-25) to the McMaster Marauders on Sunday, November 7 at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.
With the loss, the Blues are 2-4 and sit in a three-way tie for seventh place in the OUA standings.
First-year leftside hitter Jake Dysselhof of Mississauga, Ont., led the Blues once again with 13 kills, while fellow rookie Jonathan Adomait of Dundas, Ont., had eight kills and seven digs. Blues setter Alex Park had 29 assists and a team-high nine digs in the loss.
McMaster was led by Kevin Steven’s (Winnipeg) 16 kills and 14 digs, while Tyson Alexander of Shanty Bay, Ont., had 10 kills. Joshua Litchey had five kills and 13 digs in the win.
The Varsity Blues return to action next Saturday, November 13 when they travel to London, Ont., to take on the Western Mustangs. Game time is 2 p.m.
