BLUES DROP THREE CLOSE SETS TO WARRIORS

The Varsity Blues women’s volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-20) decision to the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday, November 6 in Waterloo, Ont.

“Many players are gaining experience and we are improving on aspects of our play each match,” said Varsity Blues head coach Kristine Drakich. “It’s unfortunate to start the season this way. We have made it very hard for ourselves and we've definitely got our work cut out for us for the rest of November. Everyone is committed to improving so we are planning for things to change soon.”

Sophomore Laura Ebenhardt led the Blues with 11 kills and seven digs, while Alexandra Hudson chipped in with 18 digs. Katrina Rossall of Calgary recorded 13 digs in the loss.

The Varsity Blues return to the court next Saturday, November 13 when they host the Brock Badgers at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
