The University of Toronto women’s water polo team fell 16-10 to the Carleton Ravens on Saturday, November 14th at Carleton University campus.
It was a close game for the Blues who worked hard but couldn’t quite push past the Raven’s defence.
Third-year Brittany Sinclair (Scarborough, Ont.) and fourth-year history student Laura Shaw (Vancouver, B.C.) led the Blues with three goals each.
Sarah Mcilveen (Scarborough, Ont.) was the high scorer for the Ravens, raking in 6 goals , while Kaitlyn Stewart (Guelph, Ont.) landed four.
Susan Armstrong and Stéphanie Le Saux-farmer also scored a point apiece for the Blues. Carleton continued to increase the gap however, taking the game 16-10.
The Varsity Blues return to the pool tomorrow, Sunday, November 15th to take on the Queen’s Gaels. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
