The Varsity Blues men’s squash had a disappointing 1-3 finish to the OUA men’s squash crossover held at the University of Toronto’s Athletic Centre, January 24-25.

The two-day tournament started off well for the host Blues as they defeated the Brock Badgers 5-1 on Saturday morning.

Things went south soon after that as they couldn’t match up against a solid McMaster Marauders squad and fell to 5-1. In the last game of the opening day, Toronto lost to the Waterloo Warriors, also by a score of 5-1.

Things didn’t get easier for the men on Sunday as the team faced a touch challenge in the Western Mustangs. Toronto wasn’t able to muster any sort of attack and fell 6-0.

The Blues will rest and regroup before heading off to the 2008-09 OUA squash championships, hosted by the University of Western Ontario, January 13-14.
