BLUES FALL TO RAMS 3-0

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team fell 3-0 to the Ryerson Rams on Sunday, January 18 at Kerr Hall.

After dropping the first game 25-17, the Blues rallied and challenged the Rams but narrowly fell 25-21. Ryerson dominated the third and deciding game 25-13 to take the 3-0 shutout victory.

Steven Kung (Toronto) had a game-high 14 kills while Blues setter Deagan McDonald (Calgary, Alta.) tallied 25 assists in the loss.

Greg McDonald (Thamesville, Ont.) led the Rams with 12 kills and Logan McClevis (Hillsburgh, Ont.) added four kills and three serving aces in the victory.

The Varsity Blues are on the road next weekend as they take on the Western Mustangs on Friday, January 23 in London, Ont. and the Lancers on Saturday, January 24 in Windsor, Ont. Game time on both days is scheduled for 7 p.m.
