The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's volleyball team travelled across town to defeat the York Lions 3-0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-23) on Friday, November 7th.

Fourth-year veteran Steven Kung (North York, Ont.) led the Blues men’s team with 17 kills and five digs, while first-year engineering student Mike Manning (Vernon, B.C.) tallied eight kills and six digs.

Second-year setter Josh Shermer (North York, Ont.) controlled the flow of the game, recording 29 assists in the victory.

The Varsity Blues return to action next Friday, November 14 when they travel to Waterloo, Ont. to take on the Laurier Golden Hawks. The women are scheduled to start at 6 p.m., with the men to follow at 8 p.m.
