The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men’s squash team fell 6-0 to both the Queen’s Gaels and the McMaster Marauders at the OUA East sectionals on Saturday, November 15 in Kingston, Ont.

Blues number five Dave Ponak put up the biggest fight against Gaels Amr Hamour. Ponak won the first two sets (9-6, 9-3), but Hamour mounted a huge comeback to take the next three (9-3, 9-3, 9-2).

Adrian Pond played in Toronto’s number one spot in both matches, falling 3-1 to Queen’s Paul Gartenburg and McMaster’s Hussein Rahemtulla.

The Varsity Blues host the OUA crossover January 24-25 at the University of Toronto’s Athletic Centre.
