BLUES VOLLEYBALL DOMINATE PALADINS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s volleyball teams defeated the RMC Paladins 3-0 on Saturday, November 1 at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.

The Blues handily beat the Paladins 25-13, 25-15, 25-9 on Saturday afternoon. Dianne Burrows (Richmond Hill, Ont.) led all players with 13 kills and six digs for the Blues while first-year standout Shannon Rossall (Calgary, Alta.) tallied 11 kills and 10 digs. Heather Bansley (Waterdown, Ont.) added nine kills and 10 digs and Kathleen Manhannah had another great game, garnering 35 assists in the victory.

The Paladins were led by Melissa McCoy (Kingston, Ont.) who recorded eight kills and three digs for her squad.

The Varsity Blues travel across town on Friday, November 7 to take on the York Lions. The women are scheduled to start at 6 p.m., with the men to follow at 8 p.m.
