Heather Bansley accumulated 39 kills and 34 digs as the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s volleyball team recorded two victories over the Laurier Golden Hawks and the Waterloo Warriors this weekend (Nov. 14-15).
The Waterdown, Ont. native led her team in three close sets (27-25, 25-17, 27-25) over the Golden Hawks on Friday and continued to dominate on Saturday night as the Blues defeated the Warriors 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 23-25, 25-20).
A fourth-year arts and science student, Bansley led all players with 21 kills over Laurier and tallied a game-high 27 digs against Waterloo.
Bansley is a two-time OUA all-star and currently leads the CIS averaging 6.24 points per game. She has amassed 108 kills and 109 digs in just 21 sets this season.
