Varsity Blues fifth-year leftside hitter Steven Kung was sensational in two key games as the Blues fight for their playoffs lives. The Toronto native knocked down and impressive 55 kills over two games in OUA action this weekend.
 
The 2008-09 OUA East player of the year and two-time CIS all-Canadian recorded a game-high 26 kills, seven digs and one serving ace in a must-have 3-2 (23-25, 25-23, 25-12, 17-25, 15-11) victory over the Waterloo Warriors on Friday night.
 
Kung again led all players with 29 kills against the second-seeded Queen’s Gaels on Sunday. The Toronto native also tallied seven digs and three solo blocks in another close 3-2 contest.
 
Kung is currently ranked first in the OUA, averaging 4.42 kills per game.

Honourable Mention: Pat Janssen - was named an OUA all-star for the second time this season (baseball and curling) and then led the Varsity Blues men's curling team to an impressive silver medal at this weekend's OUA championships.
