Second-year forward Alan Chung amassed 25 goals over four games and was named tournament MVP as he led the Varsity Blues men’s water polo team to their third consecutive title at the OUA championship this weekend.

 

The Ajax, Ont., native scored six goals, including the game-winner, in the championship final versus the Western Mustangs as the Blues cruised to a dominant 17-11 victory. Earlier in the day, Chung tallied seven goals, with four coming in the first quarter, to lead Toronto to a 15-5 semi-final win over the McMaster Marauders.

 

Chung opened the championship scoring six goals and netting the game-winner in each of Toronto’s pool victories over the York Lions (19-2) and Queen’s Gaels (23-0). The second-year mental health studies student was also named a tournament all-star.
